Minersville Reservoir UT Fishing Report 3.20.2013

Ice off at Minersville Reservoir was hot. Fish are starting to spawn and are up against the shore line. We had a boat so we were able to go over to the west side of the lake and fish. We fished four and half hours and landed 14 we had about another 10 that we had on but could never get them in. We caught one small 14 incher and a 16 incher. The rest were 18 inches and up. The biggest one of the day was almost 20 inches. I had one on that I fought for prob 4 mins that we are pretty sure was bigger but it got off at the very end. Here are some of our pics, enjoy!

Little Dell Reservoir UT Fishing 3/15/2013

So we headed up to Little Dell Reservoir Friday afternoon because it was so close to Salt Lake and Jimmy and I were itching to do some fly fishing. It has been a rough winter for fishing :) So the reservoir is still frozen over except for a little open water at the East end where the water feeds in. It was softening up and it looked like the Ice would be off within the week. We tried the little open water the we had but had no luck. We did walk up the little creek that feeds the reservoir just to take a look and saw some fish and some nice little holes that looked good. But I guess the creek is closed to fishing until closer to the summer. Anyways here is the video that got us all worked up to try this place out haha! Thanks Guys I guess we needed to wait another week or two.

Green River Utah Fishing Report 3/9/13

Hey!  Ok, so my good buddy Randy Browning invited Brett Wright and I to come up to Manila and float the Green last Saturday.  I made a suicide trip up there (there and back in the same day).  I left at 4:45am from SLC and arrived in Manila around 7:30am  We had breakfast at Browning's cafe (awesome food, i highly recommend it to anyone passing through Manila) and hit the road to pick up the raft and launch just below the dam.  We launched around 10:30am and started to float, the flows were pretty low so there were a lot of slow moving spots.  Then wind was brutal, there were some times where the wind was actually blowing us upstream!  We floated to littlehole, took us all day to get down.

We caught about 7 rainbows.  Caught them on midges, scuds, and beadhead pheasant tails.  We tried to target some risers with dry midges but couldn't get any takers.  Also had a few fish flash at our streamers later on in the afternoon but never hooked one.

Here are some pics from our trip!
